Good and Bad Ideas

As a resident at the Center for Book Arts, I had the opportunity to learn a variety of bookbinding techniques. This notebook incorporates the dos-à-dos binding, which basically entails joining two books together by their back spines. For this notebook, the binding allows good and bad ideas to be separated. Its style and size resemble the popular Field Notes journals; however, this notebook puts the note-taker in the precarious situation of needing to decide whether an idea is good or bad before writing it down.
