You Don’t Need a Weatherman, 2013

This chart diagrams a series of court cases where Bob Dylan's Homesick Blues served as a defense. The song was often quote when a lawyer or judge did not believe an expert witness was necessary for the prosecution and/or defense. For instance, if someone's apartment was infested with termites, you "'don't need a weatherman' to know that they suffered emotional distress i.e., no need to call in the psychiatrist."

Twenty cases are sampled ranging from divorce proceedings to air pollution.
