posts collected from January 10 – May 1, 2009
55 entries, 52 unique locations
This video uses Google Earth animation to travel between a selection of cities around the world. These cities were carefully chosen based on being the subject of online posts that appeared when searching Google for "the most boring place in the world." The authors of these posts all claim that the city they live in or vacationed in is more boring than any other place they can imagine. Some locations receive multiple votes: North Carolina, Ohio, Zurich, and Singapore. The visible terrain of these locations varies greatly, from beautiful mountain landscapes to suburban sprawl and shopping malls. However, what these cities share is the ability to inspire existential crises and post-college woes.
